Monte Cristo Breakfast Casserole

This favorite sandwich has now become more healthy and simple.


Serve with some raspberry jam to set this over the edge. Enjoy!

Monte Cristo Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients:
•	4 Large Eggs
•	1 1/2 Cup Half & Half
•	1 1/2 tsp Dijon Mustard
•	6 Cups Rustic Coast Pastries Bread (Rustic/Sourdough/Baguette)
•	9 oz Ham
•	1 1/2 Cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
•	Pinch of Nutmeg
•	Salt & Pepper To Taste
•	Raspberry Preserve/Jam
Instructions: 
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Lightly grease an 8x8 or 9x9 pan.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, half & half, mustard and spices.

  • Stir in the bread to the bowl and coat evenly.

  • Fold in the ham and cheese.

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

  • Place in the oven and bake about 40 minutes or until the edges are browning and the cheese has melted.

  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool a bit before slicing. Serve with the raspberry preserves/jam.
